Global Warming – An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore is a serious researcher who likes his job which is about the climate change and trying to show to the people the dangers of the climate change to the world and in the environment these days. Also he is interested in how is the climate change effect on the human, animals and on the world as a whole. He mentioned that the north of the equator is one of the world places where we can look at the changes on the climate.

Mr Al Gore showed us that the world in danger because of the global warming. The glacier around the world is melting day by day and this melting is making the place dangerous to the animals that are living there such as the polar bears. He explained the reason for this phenomenon which is the high temperature that are rising more and more so the ice in the north of the equator is melting and became.

Now we can note that both Hemisphere and CO2 are in creasing in the two graphs of temperature in the past 1000 years. Al Gore mentioned that there are some climate changes in ecological niches and warning of the disaster are coming to the earth and we will face a major impact. Nowadays we should take Americans as example of a country which had done a great thing to solve and to face the global warming which is achievement is the ozone layer issue.

An Inconvenient Truth-opinion

An Inconvenient Truth movie was interesting because it showed us new information about the global warming nowadays with a good method that was given by Al Gore. As well the other things which made it interesting were that Al Gore showed us the danger of this phenomenon it is still growing in this world. Ice melting which is the major problem that can cause other problem to follow it. The second problem is that the atmosphere.

I have learned about the climate change effect on humans, animals and also the environment which could eventually put us in danger. Another thing that I have learned from this movie is that the north of the equator is one of the world places where we can look at the changes on the climate. Finally I want to say that now we can note that in both hemispheres CO2 is in creasing. The two graphs of temperature in the past 1000 years show it is really a problem for this planet.

Carbon footprint

Carbon footprint is defined as a measure of the exclusive total amount of carbon dioxide emissions that is directly and indirectly caused by an activity or is accumulated over the lift stage of a product. I calculated my "carbon footprint" by using http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/ and I got 2.41 which mean that I got an average which is lower than the UK average, and the survey goes like this: 20% for food, 22% for travel, 27% for home and 28% for stuff. Carbon footprint is the result of our acts in both individuals and society, which will finally effect the world’s climate change.
The carbon footprint is measuring the amount of CO2 we produce every day by different ways. Including almost everything we do in our lives.

The calculations of carbon footprint calculate the amount of energy we use in order to produce electricity, and usage of transportation and even food consumption and many other stuff we do.
After having an idea about carbon footprint, we should reduce it by many ways which will be mentioned later.
First, we have to increase the efficiency of our machines, and use less energy. After that we will see that carbon footprint will decrease and we will reduce the carbon emissions we produce. To know more about carbon footprint you could visit other web sites, which will help you have more information about carbon footprint statistics.

Cool City

Since the start of the industrial revolution there have been some problems associated with economic development such as increasing in energy consumptions, increases the amount of carbon dioxide and finally traffics. But if we don’t solve these problems we will need at 8%.However 90% of the carbon dioxide emitted into the air come from buildings and transportations. Cool City is a model city which is a new method of technology that is going to be build by SDCJ which is a Japanese company. The city will conclude three types of least another earth. But to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide emitted in to the air to live within the capacity of a single earth we will need about 1.5.In Japan during the last 30 years GDP has gone up 100% while energy efficiency has increased 37% and oil consumption has decreased transportation that will be used in it such as monorail station, LRT “Light Rail Transit” and water transportation whereas the various zones in the city are business, residents and culture. This city also will use some techniques that will reduce the heat from the air for example water, trees and roof membrane. There are two types of buildings in that city which are expected CO2 reduction namely commentarial building which reduction 50% and the other one called residence building which reduction 30% and the overall percentage of reduction of CO2 emissions claimed is 60%.

Social Issues-Lebanon

http://www.lebaneseforces.org/lebanon/leb_intro.php

Lebanon is one of the important countries which has an old history in the Middle East. In the past, Lebanon was called the land of the milk and the honey. Beirut is the capital of Lebanon and it has a famous nickname which is the Paris of the East. This country has produced many celebrities like Shakira. Syria, Israel, Jordan, Turkey and Cyprus surround Lebanon.

Since 1943 until 1948 there were some problems between the Christians and the Muslims after the gained independence from France this was because of the Christians when they tried to take the power of Lebanon whereas the Muslims didn’t agree which made some tensions between them. Another cause for the tensions was in 1975 when the Christians killed a bus of full Palestinians in the down town of Beirut. Because of the tensions there were some results such as revenge killings and violence that began to spiral out of control. At 1982, the Israeli army invaded the city with the aim of removing the Palestinian Liberation Organization. After that by seven years the peace deal reached. There were some human and economic costs of a conflict such as “between 150000-20000” people were killed, 300000 people were wounded and the economy paralyzed.

Nowadays there are some signs of social and economic recovery in Beirut. For example, the different religions are living together, (people live in peace). Also there is development in the civilization like malls, bars and coast. On the other hand, there are also some current problems in the country such as the people who have left and the employment which remains very high.
